Elections were held for 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra on Monday. During the election, a BSP leader in the polling booth threw ink at the EVM machine. While throwing ink on EVMs, BSP leader Sunil Khambay also raised slogans of 'EVM Murdabad' and 'EVM won't do'. Seeing the chaos in the polling booth, the Maharashtra police caught the BSP leader and took him to the police station and are making inquiries. It is being told that Sunil Khambe had been opposing EVMs for a long time.
महाराष्ट्र में सोमवार को 288 विधानसभा सीटों के लिए चुनाव हुए। चुनाव के दौरान पोलिंग बूथ में बसपा के एक नेता ने ईवीएम मशीन पर स्याही फेंक दी। ईवीएम पर स्याही फेंकते हुए बसपा नेता सुनील खम्बे ने 'ईवीएम मुर्दाबाद' और 'ईवीएम नहीं चलेगा' के नारे भी लगाए। पोलिंग बूथ में बवाल करता देख महाराष्ट्र पुलिस बसपा नेता को पकड़ कर पुलिस स्टेशन ले गई और पूछताछ कर रही है। बताया जा रहा है कि सुनील खंबे ईवीएम का काफी समय से विरोध कर रहे थे।
